I was about 8 years old the first time I remember meeting my grandfather, Leonides. He lived in Wyoming, working on a ranch, as a sheep herder. He lived in a metal covered wagon. He was a wrangler, still breaking in wild horses. his camp consisted of him, 3 horses, a pinto, a beautiful palamino and a mustang. and his herding Dog Rover, a big friendly German Shepherd. He had the Mustang hobbled, he was still breaking him in.I know it sounds like the stuff you see on TV, This was real life, the way my grandfather lived his life. And the life style my brother chose, herding cattle in Colorado. My grandfather spoke english with alot of cuss words (his favorite was "sons of Beches") and a few Spanish words thrown in for fun. From stories I've heard about him he lived up to his colorful personality.
I just want his/our history to be remembered. I want my grandchildren to know where they came from. My brother has grandpa "Dan's" hazel eyes. I can see the dimple in his chin every time I look at my daughter, Rachel. As you look thru our family tree you'll notice a lot of twins. well I guess it's true that good things run in family's. I know that alot of the information I have is incomplete, but I'm really enjoying learning about my family history. As I get more information, I'll update
the website, if you have any memories to contribute please contact me donnamay12001@yahoo.com
I hope you enjoy this as much as I am in trying to put it together. Please sign the guestbook. As you look at the pictures in my family tree I have added a memory or two about the person, so that way they won't just be names and pictures in a book. WE ARE A FAMILY
